This Advertising & Branded Content Policy (“Policy”) governs all forms of advertising, promotional communication, sponsorship, paid partnerships, endorsements, commercial messaging, and any other monetized or brand-associated content distributed through UmiAi (“Platform”). It applies to all users, creators, advertisers, agencies, brands, partners, merchants, developers, and third parties who create, publish, boost, manage, or distribute ads or branded content (“You”).
This Policy forms part of UmiAi’s Terms of Service. All advertising and branded activity must comply with this Policy, regardless of the user’s location, audience, or the nature of the partnership.
By accessing, using, or participating in UmiAi’s advertising, promotion, or branded content ecosystem, you agree to comply with this Policy.
1. Overview and Scope
UmiAi supports commercial activity, creator-brand partnerships, promotions, and advertising that contribute to healthy economic activity across the Platform. Our goal is to create a transparent, trustworthy environment in which users can discover meaningful content, and creators and brands can engage responsibly without deception, abuse, or harm.
This Policy applies to:
Paid advertisements purchased or promoted using UmiAi’s advertising tools
Boosted posts
Creator-brand collaborations
Sponsored posts, videos, images, AI-generated content, reviews, and endorsements
Product placements, affiliate marketing, referral links
Brand-owned channels, pages, and creator hubs
Branded filters, AI models, themes, or effects
User-generated content with commercial intent
In-game ads within mini-apps or games
Blockchain, cryptocurrency, token, or NFT-related advertising
Wallet-integrated commercial experiences
Paid promotions conducted through messages, channels, or direct posts
All commercial content must adhere to jurisdictional advertising laws, consumer protection regulations, truth-in-advertising standards, financial promotion requirements, and digital content rules applicable to each region.
2. Transparency and Disclosure Requirements
UmiAi requires clear, conspicuous, and unambiguous disclosure whenever content involves payment, sponsorship, gifted items, incentives, or any material commercial relationship.
Disclosures must be:
Prominent: visible at the beginning of the content
Accurate: accurately reflecting the nature of the relationship
Understandable: using plain language
Persistent: remaining visible for the duration of the content
Acceptable disclosures include:
“Sponsored,” “Paid Partnership,” “Advertisement,” “In Collaboration With,” “Gifted Product,” “Includes Affiliate Links,” “Brand Partnership.”
Creators must use UmiAi’s built-in “Paid Partnership / Sponsored Content” tools where available.
Failure to disclose appropriately may result in removal, suspension from monetization, or account penalties.
3. Accuracy, Honesty, and Integrity Standards
All advertising and branded content must be truthful, evidence-based, non-deceptive, and must not mislead users. This includes:
No false claims, exaggerated benefits, or fabricated testimonials
No unverified health, medical, or scientific assertions
No misrepresentation of product capabilities
No manipulated or AI-generated misrepresentations presented as real
No undisclosed synthetic or AI-generated impersonations
No misleading financial claims, earnings guarantees, or investment advice
No content designed to obscure terms, pricing, risks, or disclaimers
All claims must be substantiated and comply with regional regulations governing advertising, consumer rights, financial disclosures, and health & safety standards.
4. Prohibited Advertising Categories
The following categories of advertising and branded content are strictly prohibited across the Platform, regardless of jurisdiction:
Illegal products, services, or activities
Counterfeit goods
Unlicensed pharmaceuticals or controlled substances
Weapons, explosives, or firearms (unless legally permitted with strict restrictions)
Human trafficking, exploitation, or escort services
Hate groups or extremist organizations
Surveillance tools designed for unauthorized monitoring
Malware, hacking tools, or illegal digital services
Deepfake impersonations without consent
Discriminatory or exclusionary targeting
Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, or fraudulent investment models
Tobacco products (including vapes, e-cigarettes, nicotine alternatives)
Unsafe supplements or unapproved health therapies
UmiAi reserves sole discretion to determine whether content falls into a prohibited category.
5. Restricted Advertising Categories
Certain topics may be permitted only under tightly controlled conditions and may require prior approval, verification, or compliance documentation:
5.1 Alcohol & Nightlife
Permitted where legally allowed; must include age restrictions and responsible use messaging.
5.2 Gambling & Games of Chance
Requires licensing proof, geo-restrictions, and audience safeguards.
5.3 Financial Services, Cryptocurrency, and Digital Assets
Includes wallets, tokens, exchanges, lending, rewards, staking, NFTs, blockchain projects.
Requires full compliance with financial regulations, clear risk disclosures, prohibition of guaranteed returns, and jurisdictional restrictions.
5.4 Medical, Health, and Wellness Products
Requires scientific substantiation, regulatory approval, and prohibitions on high-risk claims.
5.5 Cosmetic Procedures & Aesthetic Services
Must not promote unrealistic expectations or target minors.
5.6 Political Advertising
Subject to strict eligibility requirements, identity verification, regional legislation, and transparency obligations.
Some jurisdictions may prohibit political advertising entirely.
6. Brand Safety and User Well-Being
Ads and branded content must not:
Promote unsafe, dangerous, or harmful behaviors
Include shock imagery, violence, or explicit sexual content
Target vulnerable individuals with predatory offers
Exploit anxiety, fear, or emotional distress
Encourage harassment, discrimination, or hate
Feature harmful misinformation or conspiracy theories
We maintain both human + AI-driven review systems to enforce these standards, including pre-launch checks for certain categories.
7. AI-Generated Advertising and Synthetic Media
UmiAi integrates advanced AI tools that allow users to create images, videos, music, and interactive media. Commercial content involving AI must comply with additional rules:
AI-generated characters must not impersonate real people without written consent
Synthetic voices, faces, or likenesses of public figures cannot be used for commercial claims
AI-enhanced product results must not be presented as real outcomes
Ads must disclose when core visuals or voices are AI-generated
AI cannot be used to fabricate reviews, testimonials, or false endorsements
Manipulated or misleading deepfake content is strictly prohibited
We may require advertisers to provide AI generation metadata for verification.
8. Targeting, Data Use, and Privacy Requirements
Advertisers may target audiences only in accordance with applicable privacy laws and UmiAi’s data policies. In particular:
Sensitive categories (race, health, sexual orientation, political affiliation) cannot be targeted
No targeting minors with adult or high-risk content
No using scraped or illicitly obtained data
No circumventing user privacy settings
No fingerprinting or device tracking beyond permitted methods
No covert profiling or behavioral manipulation
Advertisers must comply with global privacy regulations such as PDPA, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other jurisdictional laws.
9. Creator and Brand Responsibilities in Paid Partnerships
Creators, influencers, brands, and agencies participating in commercial collaborations must:
Obtain appropriate permissions for all intellectual property used
Ensure all statements are truthful and legally compliant
Disclose all material relationships
Follow age-gating and audience restrictions
Avoid harmful or unethical promotional practices
Use accurate hashtags, tags, and categorization
Ensure giveaways and contests comply with local laws
Maintain records of sponsorships for compliance verification
Creators may lose monetization privileges or face account-level penalties for repeated violations.
10. Commerce, Mini-Apps, Games, and In-App Purchases
Ads integrated into games, UmiAi mini-apps, or in-app purchase experiences must comply with this Policy and additional merchant or developer rules. This includes:
Clear pricing, including taxes, fees, and recurring charges
Honest representation of game mechanics, chances, or rewards
No exploitative or manipulative UI practices
No “loot box”-style elements targeted at minors where prohibited by law
Accurate representation of blockchain or token-based rewards
Full transparency when in-app currency is involved
Developers may be required to submit documentation before commercial deployment.
11. Enforcement, Review, and Penalties
UmiAi uses a combination of automated detection, manual review, behavioral analysis, account reputation scoring, and user reporting mechanisms to identify violations. Depending on the severity and frequency, actions may include:
Removal of content
Disabling of advertising features
Loss of monetization eligibility
Restriction or suspension of branded content tools
Demonetization of entire channels or creator accounts
Wallet restrictions or transaction freezes (for financial-related misconduct)
Permanent account termination
Referral to regulatory authorities where legally required
Enforcement decisions are final. We may request additional documentation, identification, licenses, or compliance records at any time.
12. Appeals and Advertiser Support
If your advertisement or branded content is rejected or penalized, you may submit an appeal to us via the Contact Us page. You must provide:
A clear explanation
Any supporting evidence or compliance documentation
Corrections made to the content
Repeated violations may result in irreversible advertising restrictions.
13. Updates to This Policy
We may modify this Advertising & Branded Content Policy when required by law, technological changes, platform updates, or evolving best practices. We will update the “Last Updated” date accordingly and may issue additional notice.
Continued use of the Platform’s advertising or branded content tools after changes are implemented constitutes acceptance of the updates.
